Chris Bitten Drummer/Songwriter has been involved in music since the age of 6.His parents discovered his ability to play along to music in perfect timing while emulating playing drums on the kitchen table. At the age of 8 his parents bought him his first set of drums and by the age of 12 Chris was already playing drums behind some very prominent local choirs in his native home town of Birmingham, Alabama. His talent led him to writing and producing a gospel album entitled “The Bitten's” which received regular rotation on a local radio station. Chris became one of the co founders of a very popular jazz band in the Birmingham area called “Top Secret”, which played in popular jazz clubs and a host of private parties. It was in this band that led Chris to meet and record with Zebra Recording Artist “Eric Essix”, in which he played drums on Eric's second album for then Nova Records on a tune called “Out Da Frame” This is what inspired Chris to want to record his own tunes. Chris started his own jazz band which was called ”Xpoz'd” which became so popular that he was booked to perform for a welcoming party for the 1996 Olympic committee that hosted the soccer games in Birmingham, Alabama, he also received great reviews in a local newspaper which stated that Chris was destined for stardom. Later on, Chris felt the need to pursue his love for music and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he played drums with music hall of fame “The Tams”, whose hit single was “Be Young Be Foolish” and also the world renowned “Drifters” who performed the legendary song “Under The Board walk” which led him to playing drums for blues legend “Clarence Carter” whose bigger hits were “Patches & Strokin”. Touring with Clarence took Chris all over the world he was also featured in a major movie called “Another Day In Paradise” that starred “Melanie Griffith and actor James Woods”. Now living in Houston, TX Chris has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with artists such as Ledisi, Frankie Beverly and Maze Masya Leak, B.B.King, and Bobby Blue Bland just to name a few.
